The American elections are about to start this year. So I started to watch the whole west wing season 1 to season7 (so that I can better understand the the US political process) which I started early December and have just finished today.

The bahhumbugometer is peeking high at the moment (lucky I have no kids ) what with sneezing sore throat coughing high temperatures and sweating. I have never felt less Christmasy. I have just been asked if I want to go to west field by someone who has heard me cough sneeze and shiver all night ??????? WTF
To be clear if I have to keep a high voltage cable above my head for 3hrs while I have the flu or everyone including my self will die I think I can do that.
If I have to keep swinging or waving a flare or keep a fire burning so I can be rescued from a life threatening situation and I just happen to have the flu I think I can do that.
If I have to get dressed and shlep out to a mall for 3-4 hrs to buy s****t that has just gone up in price before Christmas and will go down after Christmas and I just happen to have the flu um no I can't do that I'm just not strong enough and if that is man flu! Then yes hands down I simply can't be arsed. I am sure that there are some green beret, SAS, SBS, navy seals who would be able to absail in to west field through the roof do 4 hrs shopping and have flu as well but I think we have already ascertained I ain't no special forces.

Maybe if you can predict it. Then you can do something about it. Just like as the economy tanks. More people take drugs. But the quality of illegal drugs goes down. More people are poisoned by illegal drugs. That home break-ins go up. Prison populations go up. The quality in the prisons go down. Drugs are more readily avaliable in prisons. But the qulity of the drugs goes down. so inmates get more sick,and violent Over all social Violence goes up. Police work load goes up. Over all feeling of safety goes down. People feel more vulnerable less free more xenophobic, less tolerant.

Is so dark I can hardly see it! My tv is struggling to to show anything to me. The contrast keeps jumping as the tv tries to find some light to show me. Whats up with that ? All that money and they could not afford some light there is more contrast in a shadow puppet show. Whats up with that ?
Come on..... This dvd is not pirated. I paid good money for this and is official and yet it looks as dark as a pirate DVD and do not tell me that the film is dark. Or that I should buy Blue ray sod that you've got all those digital effects Warner Brothers how about putting a bit of contrast across the whole movie.
Or buy some candles.... when you shoot a film. Even the low LUX of modern cameras are struggling

ok now that video cameras are so cheap now it stands to reason that you should set up a personal camera when you get into the car to film your journey if you have an accident then for insurance purposes then you have record of what happened.

If you go riding your bike then you should have a helmet cam so that if a mad driver attacks you then you can film it and for insurance purposes have a record and for police as well

1 What is the point of pandas?

But instead went into the pockets of rich thugs who’s only qualifications/education was of violence and greed and did the governments reward them? Hell yes prohibit it make the products more expensive so that organised crime can get more profit and enslave more people. Cheapen life so that it is not worth a bag of plant extract. yay !

What the hell is that all about ?

Ok I have heard it all now some company has started to sell a disposable digital camera. I met someone recently who really enjoyed school. They said they could not think of anything more terrible than being sick and having to spend just one day home, instead of going to school.

They loved the spelling tests, the exams, the homework and get this! They never really ever remembered their teachers. As they felt like a computer giving them information rather than a person. So they were not sure if they ever had a teacher they did not like. They just got the information from them and moved on.

They would argue their marks and do the home work again. Even if the teacher had not told them to do so ..so they could get a better mark even if that mark was not recorded???

Just so they could feel they had done better.

Essays were no effort at all they could type as fast as they talked and punctuate perfectly as they wrote. Never really needing to go back on what they had written.
Science was a struggle for them how ever because they found the testing and looking at the results boring. They just want to be told what the results were.

Maths was a laugh and was much easier. As it was all about procedure and you were always given the answers in maths lessons. The teacher would show you how to do something using what ever formulae and then ask you to do it over and over again piss easy ! Get told you were a really good student for doing nothing at all….
The teachers loved them cause they never had to do anything no extra anything no frustration.

The key to school they said was to read the next chapter of the school book before class then just coast all the way through school and if you wanted to do really well just read 7-9 chapters ahead then just find yourself a container to put your gold stars medals and ribbons in.
They ended by saying “if life was like school I would be ruling the world by now !!!”

I needn’t add they got into oxford or Cambridge or both and now have at least two thirds of the alphabet after their name.

Sigh

I hated school every test, every exam, every lesson, every home work assignment, every essay needed a word made from hot searing lead stamped through the flesh of my hand hot to the paper with a dirty untidy smear. No matter what I had in my head. the cost to get it down on paper was more painful than pulling teeth.

I hated the teachers who I felt personally got out of bed in the morning only to torture ME.
That maths was made to make my eye balls hurt. That biology history geography etc. made the beautiful things in the world seem more dull. English lessons were full of letters the wrong way round with the wrong spacing the wrong comas the full stops in the wrong place. Grammar disrupted and crippled my point making what ever I wrote nonsense and pointless. So I frequently lost what ever my point was.

Sometimes when I am on my own thinking about things. I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have been great at school and love school how easy it would have made my life then and now.
